Our story

The same family, under the same station, for over 90 years

Trackside Bakery sits in the City Station Concourse on Wellington Street, in the middle of Perth's busiest commuter interchange. We have been baking here, as a family business, for more than nine decades.

The bakery

We are a working bakery, not a depot. Pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches, gourmet rolls and sweet baked goods are made on site, every day, and the bakers start before the first trains run. The commuters walking the concourse and the offices across the CBD have been eating what we bake here for generations.

What we make

Fresh pies and sausage rolls. Filled croissants and breakfast wraps. Gourmet sandwich platters for the city's meetings. Scones with jam and cream, lamingtons, slices and donuts for morning tea. Fruit platters and salads when the order calls for something lighter. All of it baked and prepared in the same kitchen.

Where we are

Inside the City Station Concourse, 378 Wellington Street, Perth. You walk past us on the way to the platforms. We deliver across the CBD to the offices around us, and we have done so for a very long time.

Still family run

Three things have not changed in over 90 years: it is still family run, it is still baked on site, and it is still in the same spot under the station. The city has rebuilt itself around us more than once. We are still here, still baking.
